The Yorktown PTA is proud to sponsor our local PTA Reflections Contest.

Membership in the Virginia PTA provides the opportunity to participate in the National PTA Reflections program which encourages students to explore the arts and express themselves by giving positive recognition for their artistic efforts. Since it was founded in 1969 by Mary Lou Anderson, millions of students have benefited from this program.

Reflections Awards Program Students in Pre-K through grade 12 create theme-based artwork in dance choreography, film production, literature, musical composition, photography or visual arts.

Yorktown student Grace Fettig was recognized with an Outstanding Interpretation in the Dance Category in the 2020-2021 Reflections Contest. She will be awarded a medal at the virtual ceremony and she has advanced to the district level.

Due to Covid, we will be having a pre-recorded virtual awards ceremony this year. Please tune into either APS’ YouTube Channel and/or Cable TV Channel starting at 7:20 on Wednesday, January 27th. There will be a pre-show showcasing the visual art and photography submissions followed by the awards ceremony beginning at 7:30:
